Apologies if this has been asked before.

I'm looking to replace the floor carpets (not the over mats), in my new to me L322 4.2L Supercharged. Ideally I would like genuine carpets. Can anyone recommend where I could get a set? They are dark blue from memory, but I believe there are different colours available too. I just want to freshen the interior up, and think this, with some matching genuine over mats could be a good first step.

I imagine the dealers may do them still, but wondered if there were other places that might do them, perhaps more reasonably priced?

Sorry I cant advise you about a source for your carpets, my carpets are original and are black colour.

The carpets will cost a lot from the dealers, also you need to strip most of the dash out to get the centre console out, also lots more trim to get the carpets up, it's a massive job...

If yours are damaged then best bet is to get some second hand ones from a breaker, loads on eBay...

If they are just dirty then get them professionally cleaned or hire a cleaner and do it yourself, they are good quality and clean well...  Pete

As commented, breakers would be best, from memory when I took out my centre console I did not need to destroy my dash, ( 2006 model ), but I think you would have to remove the front seats etc. Maybe try a professional clean first and go from there if the result is not to your liking. To change the lot, a good trim tool kit ( about £14 ) would make life easier.

You certainly don't have to "destroy" anything but you do have to remove parts of the dash to get the centre console out, it's also easier if you remove the lower dash panels.. You will have to take all the seats out and the lower trims on the A B and C pillars as well as the door thresholds

My point was it's a lot of work to undertake if they just need a good clean...  Pete

Thank you for the responses. Sounds like a big job, so glad you've given me some insight into what's involved. I will have a look on YouTube for some 'how to' videos before I make a start on this one. If anyone knows of any videos or even 'how to' guides they've seen on here that they could link me to that would be great also.

I'm still keen to do this, but having seen the prices for the genuine navy carpets, I think I may just replace the fronts (and shut my eyes when I have to pay up). I've got manageable OCD, but when it comes to my cars I'm quite specific on certain things so whereas the existing carpets would probably clean up quite nicely, the idea of a fresh set in the front at least would be a real nice touch for me. I'd then look to sell the secondhand carpets from my Rangie to offset the costs of the new carpet.

If anyone is interested, OR wants to tell me I'm MAD; here are the quotes I've got from a few places for front and rear carpets, and also for genuine over mats.

It would be the Navy I'd go for to match up to the original carpets.
