REMOVING ROOF BARS

HEY guys,

in the process of ordering and getting sprayed new roof gutter trims so that i can remove these hideous roof bars previous owner installed,

question:
If i remove them now and leave old trims on with the fixing covers missing will it hurt anything ??? In temrs of rain / washing the car going in the holes Regards

Water can't leak into the car if you remove the roof bars but if you want piece of mind until your new trims are ready you could always just tape over the openings in the meantime.

Thanks for this buddy.

Off they come then Very Happy

Anyone wanna buy them lol

EDIT. Removed them.

They must have been on for sometime. Left marks from the dirt being ground into the paint. I guess lucky you can’t see it unless you get up there.
Gonna have to get the machine polisher out lol Regards

If you haven't got the covers on then you might want to put some screws back in in case you ever want to use those threads again. They are usually supplied with a grub screw in there which need to be removed before fitting anything but guess you didn't get given them (not surprised as dumped the ones I took out too). Current: RR L322 2010

Thanks for this buddy.

I’ve taped the holes for the moment but will get some stainless grubs. Regards
