Not from there but always fancied a trip over -

Mrs wants to go and see Queen Victoria's (?) old house so we may well be travelling over there in the next few weeks. Apparently the ferry is one half an hour or so from Portsmouth - no idea on the cost yet or where we might stay when over there.

Nice anchorage in Osborne Bay below the house just east of Cowes. Did a lot of sailing in the Solent and love the island. Happy days Smile Smile John

Love the Isle......been there many times when young for holidays, but turned down a two year contract to photograph the entire contents of Osbourne House for the DoE back in the 70’s........what an idiot! Crying or Very sad

My Parents live there, and i spent my formative years (13-19) living there - was fine during the summer (exchange students visiting from overseas Smile ) but dull during the winter.

Still pop over and visit occasionally, although the ferry costs mean we tend to take Mrs C's "runabout" rather than my rangey. Current
