anybody have first hand knowledge of what to avoid out of this little lot, I have heard Dolz are good - and Airtex to avoid, and avoid EuroCarParts and cheap Chinese pumps - so what one works well and is pretty reliable so far ?

I replaced mine with a hella. No problems. Previous replacement Was another make, fine part or stg. Absolutely cr@p.

I installed airtex water pump. The problem was in paper seal that came with the pump. Pump was leaking through the seal, so I removed it and installed metal gasket that was on original pump. Since that without problems, done 8000 km.
Be careful with the gasket, on ebay you can order just the metal gasket if the pump comes without it or with paper version. RR HSE 4.4 2006 LPG
