They all do that??

Has yours just started doing this or have you had it before? Ours makes the ABS judder and a bit of a grauching when used on an icy slope, but it seems to keep to the set speeds. Also the same on a dry road decent. (woke up wife when I was playing about........with the car Cool )

There's thread around on this not too long ago that may help. Cheers
Richard

Sounds normal to me. It’s how HDC operates.

If you don’t get the same noise when you are braking yourself, it’s nothing to worry about.

Ah ok cheers for this as I thought the sound I was getting meant there was a problem with the Hill Decent when in operation so I disabled it straight away but as you say its supposed to make these noises.I will trying the increase and decrease in speed next time with the cruise controls. Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 SVO Stying Pack

Australia 2003 Range Rover HSE Td6 Epsom Green

I've got the old td6 and I quite regularly take the dogs for a walk whenever I go out( recently retired Very Happy).

Yesterday I was out and went to the beach on the other side of the river ,parked ,let the dogs out and walked for roughly 1/2 hour.

When we got back into the beast and I started driving, I had this bit of a grinding and when I lifted off the go pedal, the car would slow down very quickly.. What the hell, then I realized that one of the dogs had knocked the HDC switch so into neutral flicked switch and all back to normal.

NOTE, After being rear ended roughly 3 1/2 years ago, the low range and the HDC symbols do NOT light up on the dash anymore so its a case of listening to the noise rather than looking at the dash to see whats on/off.
Anyone know what could be the problem with no lights on dash. ( have had a guy come out and try to fix it,but he couldnt get them to light up.)
Also whenever I put it into sport mode the 4x4 symbol comes up.. all very strange.

cheers littlecub
