Scotland 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Stornoway Grey
iPhone phone book

Hello all, recently picked up my 2011 Vogue TDV8 and have a question about iPhone compatibility.

I have an iPhone 5s which works quite well with the new car however one issue is that only half my phone book uploads which means I am unable to search on many of my contacts and the caller I'd doesn't work for those numbers not uploaded.

Anyone else had this, any ideas.

Dealers usual response is to refer me tot he compatibility page of huge land rover website.

Thanks

I think it is an iPhone setting issue not a problem with the Rangie BT.

In the settings of the iPhone Bluetooth, you can set the numbers to sync. I think the default is only "Favorites" and "recent".

To change, on the iPhone go >Settings>Bluetooth then touch the "(i)" next to the Land Rover on the list of devices. This brings up a page which allows you to choose the contacts that you sync. Tick "All Contacts" and you will now sync everything.

If you don't want everything (I have hundreds and I don't want them all, you can create a group in the Contacts app that only as the ones you want (I have a "Car" group).

Hope that helps.

Thank Emperor Mong, good steer. I have checked my settings and have the following ticked the following:

Phone Favorites
Phone Recent
All Contacts

Problem persists. Could it be that there is a limit to the number of contacts that can be sync''d?

Also, I will try your suggestion of setting up a list of "Car Contacts" might be a good enough solution.

Cheers

I have same issue on my S4. I think you need to make sure contacts are saved to device and not sim or sd. Still I seem to have contacts that only appear on my phone and not when connected via Bluetooth meaning I have to use handset whilst driving to find a particular contact which isn't good. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Thank you. This works with my iPhone 6s and the BMW ULF I've installed in my L322. I set it up last night. Bow down Ron B. VK2OTC
