England 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue
Gearbox oil change

Hi all, I’ve only had my Range Rover vogue l322 3.6 tdv8 ,about 4weeks and I’ve read through the service history nothing mentioned about changing oil and filter in the gearbox so I’ve had a look under car and noticed that the bolts around the gearbox sump are ordinary bolts not torx bolts every were else on the car they have used them.. so do you think it’s already been done??? I’m looking at ordering the kit just to be on the safe side. I’m of to Devon tonight so looking forward to the drive down there😁😁😁😁..

Germany 2012 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

When I asked ZF in Darmstadt (I Live in Germany) for an oil change they suggested to also change some rubber parts in the control unit.
It makes the control valves sit in their original position.
Those rubber caps do flatten over time.
The oil & filter change & and those new rubber bits made my 3.6 TDV8 shift much smoother.
It had 210000km at the time.

A Trap

Agreed, the rubber ‘stops’ in front of the solenoids make a big difference to shift quality especially the first to second.

Aldo the bridge rubber.

ZF do a full service kit and it’s worth doing on higher mileage cars or any with poor shift quality.

Are there any ZF service centres near Brighton?
