Just replaced mine today. Left the car parked up facing the sun, 10 mins later the trim popped off easily with some gentle persuasion. Same with the tape left behind. A quick polish to remove the residue and a wipe with IPA and ready for the replacement to be installed.

I think it costs about £30 and is a pretty good match for colour but why it's not straight like the original is beyond me. Mine was stained like yours.

A toffee wheel is an attachment for a drill that you can use to easily remove adhesive etc from paintwork, without the need for all the elbow grease.
