Bonnet grill / scuttle removal

Hi all

I want to remove the scuttle / grill from my bonnet and clean the paint work under the air intake grills. Is it just a case of disconnecting the windscreen wash water pipes ant giving it a good yank to release it or is it attached to the bonnet with screws that I can’t see?

Jim

See here for the scuttle .https://youtu.be/YqBTJ8o7Im8
The bonnet grill is just on clips and requires yank upwards after removing electrics and water hose.

Careful with the clips, they get very brittle with the years and the engine heat .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

The bonnet grille is held in place with 4 cream coloured clips you can see on the underside of the bonnet and 5 push in pin clips along the back edge that you can't see.
I found the easiest way to remove it was to release the 4 clips with long nose pliers and then gently pull up the grille from the top working from one end. No broken clips then.
This of course is after disconnecting the two washer heater connections and the washer hoses.
