its the cost of the crystal that regulates the frequency oscillations of the clock.....cheap crystals lose a few mins in so many months, expensive crystal dont.. ... - .- -.

there's also a theory that if you use your sat nav a couple of times a month then the gps updates the clock to the correct time.. ... - .- -.

Just been out to my car to try that , it doesn't work they are not linked .I did not think they were we don't have a BMW system which is linked and even changes the clock when you go into Europe ! My 2015 car also runs slow 2 mins every month . The fuel gauge never reads full even when you carefully brim it , I think that could be corrected in the software ? |

Judging by how out of date our sat-nav's are, using GPS to update the clock would take us back to 1983! Mike |

They all do that sir, the only thing they loose faster than time is value. letters not necessarily in the right order |
