Morning all, sorry I haven't been around much for various reasons, none of which are very good but the RR has been relatively well behaved so I guess that's something, until yesterday that is........

All was fine till yesterday afternoon when I began to notice a slightly rough idle but by yesterday evening it has gotten progressively worse and was noticeably down on power and running rough under load, I pulled 4 codes for the engine, none of which gave me much information and all said "unknown", 0x0205, 0x0404, 0x3505 and 0x1613.

I then had a look at the live values for the Fuel Comp, all reading between -3mm3 and 0, except for cylinder 4 which is now showing 7mm3 (photo shows 5mm3).

Call I call on the vast wealth of knowledge in here to advise me, are these indications pointing to the fact that I have faulty injector?

Or can anyone shed any light on the codes?

I'm aware the loom can also be a weak point, I haven't gotten around to pulling off any covers to physically check anything yet, just going by the information I'm taken with my IID tool so far.

Any opinions, information and thought would be greatly appreciated.

As you can see, it's getting on in the years, 13 this year, and milage. K255+ Km's.

Don't forget to try the old school analog methods of diagnostics. Once the engine cover is off with the engine running pull off the injector plugs one by one looking for a change in tickover smoothness. If no change on any cylinder here lies your problem. Could be the loom or injector. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Thanks for the reply Wayne, it's always better, and easier to check the simpler things first, and this certainly proved to be the case.

Finally got around to actually having a proper look under the bonnet last night, took the covers off and the moment I touched the electrical connector on no. 4 injector I could hear a change, pulled it off and it was very obviously dirty and making a bad connection, a quick clean and it's running sweet as a nut again with all live values restores.

Simple fix...........
