The plastics on an 06> mirror are not replaceable like the pre 06 mirrors sir.... They are sonic welded together!

Your wasting your time trying to find replacement covers! A used, or a new mirror are your only options if you don't want a stick on cover to disguise the damage sir... Thumbs Up

I'd go used for 2 reasons.

It will match aesthetically a lot better than a brand new mirror

The price will be cheaper and be more tempting for the company to settle in cash. Go through the insurance and you become a statistic to 90% of them so up goes your renewal for the next 5 year whether you are at fault or not. Current

I wouldn't even bother, get a quote from a garage you trust to fix it, send it to the company, they'll submit it to their insurers, within days you should have a cheque. You really aren't expediting the matter by trying to sort it yourself, this will happen weekly for a delivery company, let the process happen

Another alternative is to use the stick on trims and just hide the damaged plastic cover, but that doesn't sit well with me.

Don't know how much they are but maybe go for that option and set up a search for a replacement on eBay and wait until one comes up? 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new....

for 2006 onward the mirrors are not plastic covers, nor is the bezel replaceable. the cover and the bezel frame have plastic posts that are melted down to attach them. you can split them by using a drill bit to burr off the plastic and separate them.

but then you are back to finding a used unit, which serves you no better. I have a passenger side one in the garage if you want to break that one instead !
