4.2 supercharged gearbox

How can you tel if it’s on its way out, test drove one at the weekend and seemed ok but kick down seemed harsh, lots of history but none for the box so and oil and filter flush would prob be the first thing I do. Any thought would be appreciated

Cheers Andrew

i dont know how true this is but...

i have been told the gearboxes are good for 100k then every mile after is a bonus...

im waiting to fix my engine issue to be faced with this as the next big thing..

Hopefully some one else has more answers.

Matt

Oil/Flush certainly. Then get someone with an IID tool to update engine adaptations. NOT gearbox adaptations. See how it goes.
