Strange noise under the hood and heavier sound from silencer | |
Good everning all,
I came home tonight and I heard a more heavier sound than normal. Heavier sound comes from the silencer, both outlets. Everything is securely under the car so no loose exhaust pipe. When I open the hood, I hear a strange noise at the rear of the engine (circled in red), a slight clicking noise. Checked with OBD tool but no engine related error codes, only the following 2 codes but those have been in it for a while.
* Range Rover TDV8 4.4 Vogue, July 2011,
* Last LR workshop: month ago with 86,000 miles, oil service and brake fluid service. Maintenance in the past: inlet manifold (2017, 77,847 miles) and DPF filter (July 2016 62,137 miles)
* Actual mileage: 87,000 miles
* Engine fault codes:
-P041C: Exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor B - circuit low
-P040D: Exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor A - circuit high
Do I need to replace the EGR sensor or something wroing with the heat shield? I've read something like that in an earlier topic: https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic48131...;start=150
Car is driving normal, no fault codes on the dash, no smoke or something like that.
