United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Baltic Blue
"New" RR 5.0 Supercharged

I am picking up my 2011 RR Supercharged Autobiography tomorrow. Quite excited! Only one owner and 12900 miles so it feels like new to me.
Coming from a 64 plate BMW X5 that I had from new so looking forward to a more comfortable ride, but bracing myself for potential issues (had a P38 before with a lot of issues/personality).
As the previous owner did only a few miles per year it I am going to get it services more or less immediately (last service in 2017).
Any suggestions for good independents in North Manchester or thereabouts? All recommendations greatly appreciated.

Barely run in... good spot. Even if u spend a few quid on perishable items, I hope u are ahead of the game. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Thanks for encouraging comments!

We made it home without issues. Happy to report that the MPG averaged 21.5, which is much less supportive of the oil producing nations of the world than I had anticipated Rolling Eyes

Blown away by ride quality and the power and smoothness of the engine. Deffo worth it! Going for a long drive tomorrow......

21.5 mpg highway driving sounds just about right for the 5.0L SC. Car looks great and nice colour combo too! 2010 RR SC

Congratulations, enjoy - I've had my 2011 5.0 S/C over a year now, and still loving it every time I drive it.

Thanks again, and especially for the link to specialists.

New tyres (as it is on its original ones and I suspect newer ones are better in wet) and service getting done. I have searched the archives and P Scorpion Verde seems to be the ones to go for as I will never take it off road (on purpose).

I use AJR for my MOT’s and fully intend to use them for any work beyond my DIY abilities.
I have called in a couple of times for advice and they are really helpful.
Tyres... I highly recommend Pirelli Scorpion. Verde.
I have been using them for 18months now, including winter snow period.
I chose to go up to 255 55 20 for the much improved ride .
The only downside being that getting the spare in and out of the wheelwell is difficult because it is a really tight fit.

This car looks like a dream come true. Luck plays it's part, but well done, sir! I'd be intrigued to know how much it cost.

Bu anyway, I'd love to see some detailed photos of the interior to see how the Ivory semi-aniline has aged with presumably such light use.

What a great find at that mileage - looks as nice as it should do. I hope it gives you the same big grin I get whenever I drive mine Smile

Apart from a service, a tyre change is probably a good shout at that age. I had Pirelli's on mine when I bought it but found that as the car is so quiet, tyre noise was really noticeable. I had fitted Dunlop Sp Quatromaxx to my M3 previously and found the grip excellent and road noise very quiet. I took a bit of a gamble (because they don't seem so popular) to my 5.0sc and I am so pleased with them - very grippy and very quiet. My mpg increased a bit too into the bargain.

Worth considering perhaps.

Good luck with the car mate!
