Alternator Replacement 2007 3.6 TDV8

Well tackled replacing the alternator today.
Checked the output a few weeks back and under no load old one was only putting out 13.2 Volts.
After a late night run at night with all the toys on the Car failed to start the following day and I've had the Special Programs Message a couple of times.
Anyway took about 4 to 5 Hrs and there was quite a bit of swearing but it's done and all up and running again.
Must say though there is a special place reserved downstairs for the bloke to thought it was a good idea to put a replaceable item in such a godforsaken place Twisted Evil
Checked the output on the new one and it's reading 14.7 Volts with no toys on so I'm well happy 😂😂😂
Just got wait for the skin to heal on my knuckles and all will be right with the world again 😎

Big thanks to the Thread in the Wiki section as it was a fantastic guide and a great help 👍👍👍

Hi Jon
U did well
My 2007 needed a new alternator back in the day, the local indie took nearly 7 hours and swore much more than you did!
Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...
