Yep - I had a trip to A&E about a year ago. Went to pick up some stuff from storage when moving house, opened the boot and walked round, not realising the concrete apron rises up slightly - just enough to line my head up with the corner. thought it was just a bump, until blood started ruuning into my eyes. 2" gash on my scalp, glued by some colleagues in A&E. Took weeks to get the superglue out of what remains of my hair! Laughing

As I posted on the L460 thread it seems JLR have taken this on board and the L460 tailgate opens far higher than the L405 so the risk of this kind of head injury is greatly reduced

when I bought my current l322, I was looking around it, familiarly... and lifted the tailgate, went to open the lower, and the top one was coming back down, somehow, I was just fast enough to have my fingers JUST outside... but the slam of it made me think the worst had happened.
-new struts!
