I had this with my L322. Having checked for spiders or similar inside the car I found the switch? inside the engine bay which tells you if your bonnet is open was faulty.
I disconnected/removed the switch and for the next few days the false alarms stopped. I then bought a replacement switch from the bay - all sorted.

Worth a try.

Thanks for this info mate I will disconnect it tonight. I have been reading up on this earlier and a lot of people have had the same issue being down to this bonnet switch. Is it located on the passenger side isn't it.
Cheers

Drivers side....on mine anyway.

I don’t think it’s faulty, as such, but if the car sits in the sun, the bonnet heats up and does whatever it does and over time, the bracket the switch is on gets pushed downwards, so it gets to a point where it’s on the edge of thinking the bonnet is open when it’s not.

I put a rubber gromit over the button thing, to make it a bit longer....no issues since.

Just my 2p....

Looks like Dan at Duckworths sorted out my replacement switch.

The part number on the failed/faulty switch was BMW 9 119 052.

A search returned the replacement LR part number YUE000162 which if I recall correctly was a little longer. 2024 P550e Autobiography
