Well I did the same thing a couple of years ago - bought an older (04) 4.4 petrol despite all the horror stories, apart from an initial hiccup she has given me more driving pleasure than any other car I have owned. Speed becomes unimportant and fuel is something that doesn't really concern me as you can get so much pleasure from a good l322 that it's actually good value in my eyes. Buy it on a credit card (or at least put a deposit down with one) then pay the card off straight away and you should be a little more protected.

Thanks bruno....the incentive is getting stronger....as soon as a nice one appears on autotrader / ebay / gumtree.....I'm going to join the clan!

Keep an eye on here too. We usually spend a lot more than the average folk on upkeep
