When I bought my car it had Nexen Roadians on. They were OK, a bit harsh and noisy but OK. Certainly good value for the mileage I got out of them.

This is an interesting point. It's the same thing here in North America. When looking for new P255/50R20 OEM size tires, I seem to notice that size being priced higher than other similar sizes that are commonly used with our Rovers. Case in point, I'm running P275/45R20 in summer and P265/50R20 in winter. Both of those sets are less expensive than the equivalent tire set in P255/50R20. 2010 RR SC 2007 RR SC |

20's certainly bump up the price, i swear by pirelli scorpians, and have tried several other brands on the Fullfat but none seem to wear that well on the fronts. i have 19's and they generally come up at £130 a corner, i tend to go to black circles.

No need to inform insurance. Its not a performance mod. The load rating is more important than the speed rating. H rated tyres and above are fine. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal |

Well strictly speaking you should inform your insurance company about any “modifications” to your vehicle, especially anything which is NOT an approved fitment, which of course the 55 profiles will be.
