My 2019 P400e LWB Autobiography has Apple Car Play, but despite connecting an iPhone Xs by USB in the centre console nothing happens at all.

Is there something else I am meant to do or is this a trip back to the dealer?

Daft questions.....is your phone switched on? Does your phone have a signal? Is 3 or 4G showing in top left of screen?

It takes as long as a minute sometimes to launch. Once it does you should have a screen like this (sorry about the pic orientation!! How DO you get a photo to display correctly??? ....

Once you get the screen showing below tap on either of the logos on phone screen or along the bottom. Sometimes it launches straight to the screen with all the apps

Meant to ask....How do you know if you have ACP? I know you should have on a 19MY car but......

If you go to settings/All settings/Software Update. Tap it and make sure you have 18D or 19A software installed. All LR cars from 1984

Not with the car right now, but on previous attempts phone on and with perfect full 4G signal

The screen has the ACP and Android Auto buttons displaying, presumably they are not there without ACP being installed? I did option ACP and so bloomin well hope it's there.

Will check later to make sure I have 18D or 19A....

No, you've definitely got it installed if it's showing up.

Make sure you have Data Roaming "On", on your iPhone. Also under General on your phone scroll down to CarPlay, tap it and under "My Car" tap on that and you have "Allow CarPlay When Locked" toggled to "on".

Lastly make sure your wifi connection shows on your phone to the "R" number. All LR cars from 1984

Ah ha! I have never used Siri and have never turned it on...perhaps this is the root of my problem. Will find out later

No joy at all - trip back to the dealer next week. Not bad for a brand new Land Rover...1,600 miles before going back.
