3.6 TDV8 Vogue and RRS ?

I have come across a low km (75k) 3.6 TDV8 motor and zf 6 speed with a very good service history in a 2009 RRS and i am wondering if i would be able to put this engine and gearbox into my 2009 Vogue Autobiography.

Does any one here know of any reason that the swap would not be straight forward?

I believe the the plumbing and wiring will be a little different, do they share the same turbos ?

I have no doubt it would be a big job and would require numerous new consumable parts but if it is going to be doable i would like to give it a crack !

I have a feeling that i need to replace the turbos on my engine anyway and, as it has over 250k Km already it might be a good idea to refresh the power plant .

I look forward to hearing opinions. Cheers.

It comes down to cost and your time

Before undertaking to reengine your car, I would look at having the engine cleaned with Revive and see how performance is afterwards. If happy then get the EGR Blanking kit and have it mapped out, replace hoses with silicon versions and get replacement turbo cores if your housings are ok, probably replace the actuators also.

Transmission would be a rebuild though. Ford used a similar model transmission, so most parts and knowledge are available.

rar110 on site here from Oz has a high klm engine and has replaced his auto due to a faulty factory build ! he would be worth a PM.

I think one of the turbos on the sport is different ??? not sure though.
