Gap IID vs bemmercode is there another option

Guys I’ve seen a lot of people talk about having an Gap IID tool to make changes, £400 and locked to one car (although there only £300 and something online) this is one confusion however the second is that it doesn’t appear to do that much for that money. A friend has just picked up a 2019 320 M sport BMW, he bought a Bluetooth OBD for next to nothing and then this morning Bemmercode for £30 (not locked to any car) he’s already enabled rear tow assist for the tow bar he’s fitting, enabled screen mirroring, changed the dials to a spotter blue version from the m sport plus or the m3, changed the welcome screen and enabled video whilst driving with this £30 app and is now making changed to a friend 2010 bmw with it.

Is our only option the IID tool? Why do people buy the £400 plus one when online they are £318 from britpart?

So the main question is with an 2013 autobiography would I be able to do anything with my car to make the screens appear newer/better speedo etc?

It's not the only option but it is a very good one. There are many, many threads on here that discuss the options, pros and cons.

The Bluetooth version is the one you want and typically costs £400+ new. Are you sure you're not looking at the non - BT version at Britpart? 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate
