4.2sc

Hi all, I've just brought a black 4.2sc 07 plate with cream interior, 114000 miles with full service history, all the belts have been changed also engine and gear box oil service done, the car is immaculate inside and out with deplorable running boards fitted, only fault is the reversing camera don't work, any ideas on this fault? Just need to book it in for a brc conversion, quoted 2200 is this about right? And advice appreciated Thumbs Up

Sounds like we have the same car, providing you’re colour blind. I’ve had mine for about 8 month and love it.

I don’t do enough miles to justify a conversion but at the time of looking for one I read a few stories about the conversions not working too well on a 4.2. I’m sure this is down to the fitter though so do your homework and hopefully you’ll be fine.

If you dislike your running boards I’m sure you can take them off and sell them. Wink

I test drove it and fell in love immediately, yeah the lpg is a concern but I think brc do a good one with a valve lubricant and good reviews, I think I will keep the running boards Laughing

I have a 2007 SC. It has over 280,000 miles on it if that makes you feel better?

I removed the running boards also. You will want to fit new front mud flaps, as the running boards incorporate them, and they leave a mark.

Camera is best swapped out for an aftermarket one. I did mine for not much money and only a half a day of labour.

What is a BRC conversion?

 2007 Supercharged.
