Central locking fuse - rear fuse box keeps blowing

My central locking stopped working and I traced it to the fuse in the rear fuse box - 1st on right , 5amp
Replacing the fuse immediately blew again
Could be coincidence but was working fine until I had the rear tailgate trim off to fix the rear washer . Would a duff RF receiver cause the fuse to blow ?
Anyone experienced this and fixes it before I dig out the multimeter ? 4.2 SC - sold , now bought back
