TDV8 3.6 2007 problems ac heating fuse 34 keeps blowing | |
Good afternoon,
Dear members - still love my car but sometimes - it really can be a pain in the neck or even some place else:-). I am Looking for some good advice - here is the story line:
=> Initially the ac/heater function went down one hot summer day (Thought of broken ac compressor... but not the case/battery is still ok)
=>After some reading replaced blown fuse 34 - everything ok again for a week or so ( air conditioning and heating/Blower)
=> Did that fuse-replacing game for a while and now a few weeks ago the replacement only worked for the heating - whenever ac was acttivated - boom blown fuse
=> Since end of Feb - the fuse replacement doesn`t work any longer - new fuse - ingnition on - blown fuse. Happened on a very cold day after having activated front and rear window heater in addition to the heating.
=> The heating and ac of the vented seats is also not working - but lights in the lower control are on
As I am currently getting hot feet after some miles of driving (assume thats default when heating/As is down?)
and ac is nice when the wather is getting warmer again:-) - I now need to get it sorted
So with a friend of mine I looked at the electrical components being handled by fuse 34 for a short:
- the ac /heater contol unit => mine works on another car perfectly
- The heated front screen relay ( OK after check)
- The Illumination , Sport manual display ( works)
My Questions
1) harness/relays
how can I check the center console circuit for a short - how do I get to the harness dealing with fuse 34.
Is it located under the front LH seat (driver seat Germany/Europe) or inside the Rear AC Switch assembly?
How can I acces it? Do I need Dismantle the center console between the two front seats given the check I need to do. And how does this work
2) Any other explanation for the blown fuse - similar cases? Its a 2007 vogue TDV8
I brought the car to a dealer end of last yera and the error codes included a P0480-13 - is that related to the above?
What else could it be.
Thanks for your help
Best regards
