some time ago, i locked the doors with the key
the buttons on the key don't work
i then couldn't open the doors
later, my son came and opened the doors with the key, just like normal
sense then i haven't been game to lock it
however as i am now getting close to getting it on the road i thought i had better look in to it
taking one of our members advice, i closed the drivers door lock with a screw driver while holding the door open.
i then locked the doors with the key, all the windows went up and the doors locked.
i then tried to open the doors, but only the drivers door would open.
after a lot of key turning and messing about, the drivers side doors will open but the passenger side and rear doors are locked.
i have read the book and still none the wiser
there is a way of opening the rear door in an emergency, BUT you have to be inside the car to do that.
any ideas on this
i know i am probably missing the obvious

its possible that the key has been programmed to only open the drivers door on the first press and all doors on the second press..

after all the twisting and turning of the key with three of so trying the other day.
i went out this morning, put the key in the lock, turned it three times in a clock wise direction and the left hand and rear doors opened RR 2005 4.4 petrol
