Having owned this car for 10 years, it’s time to change it. This is the longest I’ve owned a car so it shows how good it has been to us.

This is a 2002 model, currently on 147k miles.

MOT till June 2019

Reconditioned transmission fitted this week with new Torque Convertor. Receipt to prove.

It’s in good condition for 17 years old and does have a few minor marks here and there. It drives very well.

Finished in Zambezi Silver
20” 7 spoke alloys with Pirelli Scorpion Zero all round.
The Interior is Navy/Parchment with cherrywood trim and all in very good condition.
6 disc changer.
Heated front and rear seats
Heated steering wheel.
Heated screen
Detachable Westfalia tow ball.

It has had a fair bit of work done over the last couple of years including:

2018
New heated windscreen January (Pilkington to match OE) this also includes new scuttle panel and A pillar covers.
New 110aH Varta battery.
New rear lower bushes/bolts.
New front suspension air bags.
Anti roll bar bushes replaced with poly bushes (rears still need to be fitted).
Drop link bars front and rear (aftermarket).
Injector No5 refurbished December. All the others were tested and are ok.

2017
New alternator

2016
New brake callipers all round
New discs and pads all round.
All brake pipes (front and front to rear both sides) replaced inc flexi hoses. The Brake pipes were genuine LR pre-shaped and a pain to fit!

2015
New air con hoses (genuine LR) and condenser plus re-gas. Nice and cold on a hot summers day.

2014
Front lower arms replaced (genuine LR).

I have fitted the following upgrades:
Mk4 sat nav with genuine BMW map disc. This does freeze when selecting Nav so may need lens cleaning. The rest works fine.
Digital TV / DAB radio conversion from Carphonics controlled from steering wheel
Bluetooth phone (BMW ULF)
Additional cherrywood trim to doors from Autobiography model.
Tinted glass.
Aux heating (FBH) activated so warms up in the morning.

It has a new 110ah Varta battery with 5 year guarantee.

MOT to June 2019
Low road tax as it’s pre-2005.

This is the longest I’ve owned a car. It hasn’t been without its faults but I’ve always addressed them and it just keeps on going.
It does have bubbling on the rear arches as most do of this age
