Flashing brake lights

I’m not sure if this is a new issue............but I just noticed that when I switch the ignition on the brake lights “flicker” on and off for 16 times.

Only happens when starting her up.

Normal if you've upgraded your lights, they do a check on start-up. You can turn it off with the IID tool. Assume it's that?

I have the 2010+ rear lights, with all hot and cold monitoring turned off (no gizmo attached).
They still do some very fast blinking on startup (brake lights), but, sides, indicators and brake lights operate normally in every other way .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

I’m not sure the hot or cold monitoring should cause the lights to flash, if they’re standard?

Also, wouldn’t they flash continuously whilst the ignition is on? Or does the “monitoring” stop after a certain time.

Might mess about with IID tool and see if disabling the monitoring does anything.

Bit weird if all standard, the monitoring does stop after a few flashes. I changed my reverse lights to LED bulbs and then had to turn the monitoring off using the IID. Worth a look either way
