Unless I am missing something the minimum disc thickness is not in that thread.

Depending on which variant you have, new discs are either 20 or 25mm thick and both have a 3mm wear limit

Sizes/thickness's are stamped into your disc bells... Remaining thickness can then easily be measured |

I too thought that the disc lipping on my 27,000 mile L405 was excessive, however in talking to two (admittedly L-R) garages before I bought the car (from another L-R garage) they told me that there was plenty of 'meat' left on the disc, and that a new disc only starts 2mm thicker than the minimum thickness (stamped around the hub area of the disc) and that this wear-rate would equate to 50,000 miles which is normal.
