I am sure this topic has been touched on previously, sorry to bring it up again if so.

To start I really hate the system (same as I had in an E39 BMW 530D back in 2002). It looks and feels really old.

The maps looks to be 2009 and never updated so extremely out of date now.

Firstly what options do I have to upgrade the actual system I.e. same as you get in the facelift 4.4 TDV8 model?

Secondly and maybe easier cheaper option do I have any software & sat nav maps update I can do?
