Venturecam retrofit help 2010MY

Ok so I definitely have the connections available behind the glovebox for a venturecam, my car has surround cameras already, if I got a dock from a 2007 onwards car and a camera should it be as simple as plug in and modufy the ccf with my iidtool ?

Also anyone got a venturecam and dock for sale Very Happy Current Vehicles :

i kinda think not..yours uses a lower bit rate MOST system to the 2007 so it wont communicate....might be wrong though but i've not seen a venture cam on the 2010-2012 years..

While usually id be inclined to agree, the connector carries a video signal on one fakra connector, the other connector has power and non fibre data lines. If you couldnt get one then I have no idea why theyd leave the loom, especially on a car with surround cameras which would have a completely different loom to everything else anyway. I might try it anyway just to see what happens. Current Vehicles :

The wiring schematic shows the companion camera video has a dedicated connection to the touch screen.

Power is supplied by the same fuse as the touch screen.
