I got roughly between 520-560 miles per tank in the 4.4 but that was on shell v power. The egr has been blanked on the 3.6 so I don’t know whether that is the difference. The 4.4 was higher mileage than the 3.6 but both turbos had been changed in the 4.4 again no bills for turbos having been replaced on the 3.6. |

Does blocking the EGR lead to a little less mpg? Guessing the map the cars given after has the most effect.

It's better but not 'far better' with taller gearing from the 8 speed likley being the main reason. If Andygriff73 was only getting 550 mile sper tank it suggests there was an issue with his car. Unless the EGR valves on a 3.6 were leaking it's unlikley better MPG will result from blanking or deleteing them. Main reason is to protect the turbo's and engine from destruction if they fail. A sticky EGR valve that doesn't shut fast enough when applying power will blunt throttle response and feel uneven in performance. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
