Double din

Thought I was helping a friend
He has 04 Vogue with original BMW Media screen
I have removed the screen fitted the double din adaptor plate
but when I try to fit this to the car the bottom of the double din JVC unit touches the dash and pushes
the whole unit up by about an inch
Any thoughts any one

update








Tried todo a right up just doesn't sound right when I typed it and read it back
It is doable and looks great
if anyone needs help message me and I will answer questions
