L405 or last of the l322?

Right guys
Flying back to the UK this weekend to buy a new car.
Dilemma is; do I go for a 2012 l322 TDV8 46k on the clock looks immaculate £23k
L405 sdv8 2013 immaculate 71k ££35k lovely colour
L405 2013 sdv6 55k immaculate £33k
I’ve got another 3k to get it registered in France plus flights hotels etc
Very excited, but don’t know what o go for, an £11k difference between years

Any thoughts greatly appreciated

£11000 is a fair chunk of money, enough for something else with either two or four wheels.

I know what you mean
It’s adifficult choice, still got loads to spend on our house, but this is another keeper.
So we do approx 5k a year in mileage, so in 8years = 40k, end up with a 14 year old rangey with less than 100k on it.
Obviously i would like the best I can afford.but we love our 2007 rangey, it’s just hit 100k, had no major problems.
I do worry that the l405 is a lot more road orientated, big wheels and low profile tires, my mate has one that I’ve driven a lot, nice space to be in
Cmon guys I need some help here!

Why change to another L322? I had a 2006 s/c and changed it for a 17 VogueSE, massive massive difference..
But was still happy with my L322 and did not see the point in changing for the same model with a few newer toys, the 405 is a huge step in terms of refinement and luxury..

If you have driven both and still undecided, could you hold on to your 2007 ( great car) for a while longer and the prices of L405s will continue to drop giving you more choice ? I had 2015 L405 AB for a few days last week and loved the toys but I was happy to return to my 2011. Plenty of posts on the difference people see between the L332 and L405 and most of the people commenting are well balanced ( always one fool though !!)

Yes....driven both
Can’t really fault either of them, obviously the l405 seems even more luxurious, but I feel at the cost of real world ability.
Ie; a lot more Chelsea tractor, not a bad thing.
But i do worry about 21”and 22” wheels with low profiles on a 2+1/2 ton 4x4.
Where I live the roads are not good

Why buy another 322 if you can realistically afford a 405? No brainer if your keeping it for time... New model every time sir... Just my 2p worth Thumbs Up

We have maindealer of sorts not too far away, although they do not inspire confidence.
Probably service it myself, it’s not rocket science

Just Answered your PM on this item, to add...never ever go to the main dealer in Perigueux. They do to many brands and don't have any trained personel on the ffrr. If you read my posts about suspension, about service and pricing, that's all with them. stay away.
I also see that my opinion on the purchase was the odd ball one Laughing
