Sorry folks.... another FBH question

Well I bought a 2014 4.4 AB at the weekend, its glorious !!! Magic carpet, BA first class with a sledge hammer built in.

However as is no great surprise I've already found an issue.

The FBH isn't working. The first easy fix was a new battery in the key fob. I get the green flashing light to confirm "operation accepeted" or whatever the handbook says but nothing happens. If I try a manual start vis the screen the button shows red...then quickly goes back to white, no not working.

Previous experince would suggest low voltage but the car doesn't give any other indications that would be the case (nor did the L322 either come to think of it)

How do I access the data screen on the L405 and what voltage is deemed enough ?

Or is there another common issue with the FBH on these ?

Thanks, I tried a quick search myself but didn't find much. However if it's right then great and also its typical for me to try it when on the temperature cusp ! LOL

Just been through all this with mine.

First thing to do is try to manually fire the FBH. If you look behind the rear panel in the boot on the R/H side then you will find the receiver that your Key Fob communicates with. There is a three pin plug that goes into this and the antenna connection. If you unplug the 3 pin plug then you have the three wires... ignore the Brown that is the negative. But if you bridge the Red (+VE) to the green (Signal) then you will be sending a signal to the FBH. Keep them bridged and you should hear the FBH start up and also the blower in the car should start up. (might need you heater controls turned up). If nothing happens then its onto the next stage.

Have just been through all this so happy to help !

The water pump failed on mine. If you've got access to a scanner plug it in. Mine was throwing up a fault code for the pump and was fixed under warranty. Current

Is this for the L322 ? I'm L405, however my "maybe not a problem at all" is it won't work when manually operated at the screen unit.
I'm going with the "its me at fault" and not the car given what Mr Tee has helped with.
