Arrghh Blown Turbos!!

Afternoon All,

Just had the news back from my local indy that both turbos have failed! I have read how much of a labour intensive and costly job this is. I'm waiting to hear back from the indy on costs. I'd appreciate anyone giving me a likely cost it's the 3.6 v8 diesel. Are there any specialist I should consider?

Really frustrating as I've spent £2k getting bits sorted and it was only just serviced a week before this happened.

Best Turbos can do both without taking the lump out, around £1600. 5 days with them I believe .

Worth a call

Isn’t that weird for both turbos to self distruct at the same time.

Or has one blown and mechanic recommends replacing both? ______________________________

Mechanic informs its both Turbos gone, not just a 'would be good to do'. My fear is he doesn't know what's caused it and if I replace it may reoccur 😱

I know your mechanic is thinking,
As a Mechanic, I have seen many Mechanics over the years, replace failed parts without a thought about what caused them to fail RR 2005 4.4 petrol
