The surprising thing is that Volvo is next up the list - no-one bleats on about how unreliable they are, not even the car mags. Just shows how perception and reputation can be very far from reality.

England

My partners BMW Mini One has 245K miles and never had any problems, she's a driving instructor so not only does she clock up the miles, they're very hard miles.

My 2002 L322 which i've owned since 2012 has been one of the most reliable cars i've ever owned, far more reliable than my Volvo XC70 which i sold last year as i'd had enough of it's non stop problems..

Funnily enough, there’s an elderly gent in the USA, who I haven’t communicated with in a little while, who had/has a 2002 R50 from new and although his mileage was dropping with his advancing years, it was around 600,000 miles last time we spoke Shocked
