ACF-50

Hi all

I just wondered if anyone on here had used ACF-50 anti corrosion spray?

The reviews it gets sound quite positive and I was thinking of coating the underside of my car with it and then giving it a top coat of waxoyl.

Jim

Yup, bought some ages ago, pumped it into the cavity of my old 322 upper tailgate.

It’s just an aerosol spray, with a nozzle as per wd40, not sure if Waxoyl would hold on top

I’ve used ACF50 for years and highly recommend it. Use sparingly, a fine mist will do the trick. I think ACF is more expensive but it doesn’t stink to high heaven like Waxoyl does. You’d be wasting your time and money putting Waxoyl on top. 2006MY 4.2 SC

I use ACF50 on my Harley as do many bike owners. Great for protecting the bike over the winter months but needs to be applied every year as washes off on a good clean. Hadn't though of using to on the Rangie but don't see why it shouldn't be useful. I think it was originally developed for the aviation industry. ----------- Current Garage --------------------

ACF is better than Waxoyl for a lot of jobs as it doesn’t dry to a sticky “gel” and attract dust and dirt, used it all over the front radiators of my Porsche as they are low and very prone to attracting debris and then staying wet and corroding, great stuff Thumbs Up David

Please let me know if my comments upset you, I may wish to upset you again.

We have used it, mainly on the Defender where you wouldn’t want to use Dintrol. I find it’s great, but need to be re applied fairly regularly.
