Previous thread I raised both turbos have blown and in need of replacement.
I have decided to use a local guy to do the work, but will buy the refurbished turbos - any suggestions on where to buy these from? TD6 V8 FFRR
Anything else I should consider doing when the works are being done?

Dorset way I have previously used Turbo dynamics in Christchurch. Good service and never had an issue.

Ask for mindus say Martin electrician put you on to him he might do a deal if all is good for you

I found Essex turbos to be very good when our 520d BMW needed one. I had a bad experience with Universal Turbos for the Td6. When it was first fitted the turbo seals were faulty and it had to be replaced. Cost me double the garage labour charges and I never did get an apology from them

Universal Turbo's in Fordingbridge rebuilt my Yanmar/IHI boat turbo a number of years ago now, and that's been perfect ever since. Turbo Dynamics in Christchurch didn't want to do the job.

My Defender TD5's turbo was rebuilt by Turbo Technics (I think, but was someone with a regular advert in the back of LRO in any case!), and that was perfect when I sold the vehicle last year when buying my L322.

which model do you have? TD6, TDV6, TDV8?

I'm assuming 3.6 tdv8.

before you go off and purchase 2 new turbos, make sure that you have someone check out the rest of the engine to make sure that none of the internals from the impellers have ended up inside  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
