Hi both - are you saying that earlier versions of the ULF will work but just not give caller ID for iPhone.?

was the new ULF a straight swap, I need a new ulf as my the quality of the call is crap, i think i had a while back wate in the unit and that has done it in I can hear them, but they cannot hear me, or with an awfull noise So your one has past the 100k as well, mine has now 102k and i still love it Thinking to swap either this or next year for the v8 |

Assuming you already have a BMW ULF fitted and not the original FFRR factory supplied phone kit then yes an updated ULF is a straight swap. Even though my orginal 6th generation came from my old X5 way back in 2002 it worked perfectly with any phone I paired to it. Most Nokia's even had SMS messages displaying on the monitor. It was only when I jumped ship to an iPhone 3GS 18 months ago that I lost caller ID, apart from that the system again worke perfectly. The only version that will give caller ID when paired to an iPhone is version 13.
