Since having my 2012 322 the Sat Nav has never been good, seemingly wanting to route through every town rather than staying on the motorways. I have tried all of the route options and it doesnt seem to make any difference. Last night I travelled from Bournemouth back to Lincolnshire, my Touareg followed all of the major roads, M3, A34 etc, old fatty? not a hope. I ended up using my iPhone.

you might have your routing linked to the tmc, this causes the nav to take you off motorways if there's congestion..... |

When my sat nav reader gave up the ghost, I installed a Garmin unit. These days, I just use Waze on my iPad/phone. Much more accurate and up to date. Also let’s you update incidents as you go.

I don't find it so bad, went to Yorkshire today - something I don't do often and apart from where there had obviously been recent changes to the road layout it got me successfully to two destinations in Leeds and two in Brighouse and then Keighley and finally back home. Although I have Waze et al on my phone I have never needed it, as the RR Sat Nav has always got me to where I wanted to go. Geoff |

Oh mine will get me there for sure, takes me off the motorway at nigh on every town for a trip through the town. Not the best way to do a 250 mile journey. BMW i3 Electric Car

Sounds like somethings wrong, went to Leeds on M62 no problem, no diversions. Part of journey back on M56 again no problems or diversions. - Sorry I can't help more. Geoff |

No problem and thanks for the input, I just find it soooooo annoying, either the SatNav will be changed for an after market unit or the cars going, I'll revert back to VW / Audi BMW i3 Electric Car

I hate mine. I give it a destination and it gives me routes to choose from....well, I’m using sat nav cos I don’t know where I’m going, so how can I pick! I just want the fastest route all of the time....no choosing....just the fastest one. Just like my 2005 Tom Tom does.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Mine seems to function ok on my 2010. It's just irritating that the maps are so out of date. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE |

Managed to find an updated DVD for mine. Claims the maps are 2018. When you put it in the drive it updates the head unit firmware too?

The 2010 onward cars use a hard disc drive in the head unit for the sat-navigation.

LOL! I never use any of my in-vehicle navigation systems either. My Google Maps app on my phone is so much more fluid and easy to use than any built-in system I have ever had. 2010 RR SC 2007 RR SC |
