Facelift Headlights

Hi all

Need some help and advice. I purchased some genuine facelift headlights for my vehicle however after fitting them, i have an orange light on my dashboard with 2 arrows in each direction underneath. I've had this on the computer and it states the motor for each headlight is not working.

I was wondering if anyone has ever had this before and if there is away where I can switch off the adaptive headlights using the computer? Its possible that I have got the wrong headlights for the vehicle but ive been told these are the correct lights for this car.

Any help would be appreciated?

Faz

Cant't help with the problem but I'd be interested in the drivers side headlamp if you still have the old ones. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

You need a diagnostics computer with the ability to turn on/off the Car Configuration File/s. Turn the headlamp file for the AFS system to Xenon/Non AFS and this will turn your orange lamp off sir Thumbs Up

An IID tool will do this Thumbs Up

Hi Craig

I tried the IID Pro tool today with LRKeys but this didnt work. Not sure why. Managed to get the Digital Display to show the mileage in numbers aswel as the Needle. However the Directional lamp in the bottom left corner and the fault for both headlamp motors is showing.

I'm guessin it could be a wiring fault. Will strip the front end off to get to the wires. ------------------------------------------------------

The Po in my car (rightly or wrongly) took the fuse out and unsoldered the bulb... Current stable:

Its not the bulbs at fault. Its the Motors to make them adaptive. Apparantly the headlights I have bought do not have motors on them making them non adaptive when the car is trying to read for adaptive headlights.

When you switch the ignition on, the headlamp inside should move upwards, downwards etc to level themselves.

Mine dont do that. ------------------------------------------------------
