I see these guys all the time here in central London, it's motorcycle ballet.

The last section, 23mins to the end: must be a training run, they circle around Hyde Park Corner / Knightsbridge/ Mayfair too many times for no real reason other than, as far as I can guess, to train in live traffic.

I’m always impressed by these guys - all advanced drivers, advanced motorcyclists, firearms carrying etc

No sirens either - it’s alldone using whistles - far more subtle, but very effective.

And check out the reg plates on the bikes, big Hondas I think, rather than the usual BMW plod bike. All have ‘SEG’ as the random 3 letters

I worked with these guys over 25 years ago - they were based at Barnes garage back then - and they were trying to justify SEG registrations, but the Met money men were having none of it.

I guess that once the DVLA started issuing numbers on the cheap, they managed to get it through

Would the SEG registrations be different to any 'normal' Met or even gov cars then?

It's a fascinating world....
