L322 Central Locking

I have a problem with the central locking on my 2003 (L322) RR Vogue. It all works as it should apart from the driver’s door not unlocking with key fob. When the key is pressed I can hear a “clunk” noise in the door. The driver's door can be opened by inserting the key into the lock. If using the dashboard locking button, all doors lock and unlock apart from the driver's door. I think I can deal with dismantling the door myself but need to know in advance which replacement parts to buy. Your help and advice would be much appreciated please.

Thank you for such a prompt reply. I'm a bit reluctant, however (as an amateur) to strip the whole door panel down then potentially have a time lag before I can reassemble it and use my vehicle again.

A Trap

Don't worry you can drive it with the panel off, we do it all the time when testing client's cars.

here is the trim

and what is lurking inside

the rod is a suspect! If it has cables or chips it is usually my nightmare. I am in Costa Rica Please update your drop down list

Is it necessary to disconnect the battery first to "protect" the door airbag ?

L322 MY2006 Central Locking not working

Hello together,

i have a similar issue:

- central unlocking by driver door not working-only unlocking the driver door
- key remote not working at all - i can manually unlock the driver door and then need to press the button in the dashboard
- re-sync of the keys to the central locking not working
- wire-harness in driver door is checked and fine - every connection is working
- if using the dashboard locking button all doors lock and unlock apart from the driver's door.

You have any ideas what could be the issue?

Suggestions highly welcome! Current:
- 2006 RR L322 - 3.6 TDV8
- 2022 MB AMG GT BS
- 2020 Audi Q2
