Grotty parcel shelf.

Hello, just thought I'd share a tip which may already be common knowledge here,I dunno?
My 10 year old parchment colour parcel shelf was as grubby as,..seemingly 7 shades of grot.
I'm fastidious with keeping my rangie interior fresh and as new looking as I can,so the shelf was really pi**ing me off!
Anyways this is what I did, popped a washing machine detergent pod in half a bucket of really hot water, poured the mix on the shelf, whilst it was on the ground outta the car I hasten to add Rolling with laughter Then scrubbed it in with a nail brush, let it soak for 5 mins and hosed off with a strong jet, once dried I was amazed,it truly has come up as new!Simple! The moisture has had no detrimental effect on the shelf,ie:warping or buckling, its slid back in perfectly. 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

I used to be indecisive and have a split personality... but we are ok now...I think?

I was looking to do something with mine as you say it gets a bit grubby top tip I `m going to give it a go? Thumbs Up

another tip have you noticed that when you use a carpet cleaner VAX type after use it soon looks dirty again? the soap is left in the pile.
Use of a jet washer gets it out looks great.

Yeah certainly worked for me.I've found using a vax carpet cleaner works fine with just hot water, then no sticky soap residue, not sure about a jet wash on the house carpets though,I think she who must be obeyed would be less than impressed Laughing 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

Pressure washer works for me - I was a bit nervous the first time but they seem fairly robust Thumbs Up

I’ve always used Vanish foam and a damp cloth. Same on the headlining.

Good tip though. I want that brave with that amount of water.....

Cillit Bang!!

Use it for interior (where grease and dirt get into fake grain on doors etc.

Used it on my rear parcel shelf where a bike tyre had rubbed during transport and left lots of black tyre marks all over. Sprayed on ...... scrubbed ...... showered off and like new!
