Deployable side step spares

Need a new mounting arm for one side that has snapped. LR only sell the steps as complete units.

Any suggestions for breakers yards in Sussex where I might find what I need?

Haven’t tried welding it.
If the mounting brackets are not too expensive, and it looks like they are reasonably priced, this is the way to go

Thank you for the links

Pulling the part no off the eBay ones above would indicate that LR do sell them as individual bits..LR004810 references to a LR part.

If you can find a cheap price on a whole set of steps it could be worth buying a complete set and selling off the unused bits.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It was Beadles in sidcup that told me that

Same outfit that when they fit the steps, some clown stripped the threads on the right hand side.
But you don’t see these things until you try to take them off

Now I know LR do sell them as spares, I can ask for a new one

Thank you forum !

Btw....I won’t be going to beadles sidcup again for several reasons....

They fitted the steps when new nearly 8 years ago....

Am sure the steps were fine when manufactured. It was fitter that stripped some threads...

Ham fisted parts changers. No engineering 'feel' for materials.

You might consider using 'Helicoil' inserts to restore the threads. M6 for steps from memory.

Cheaper copies available from amaz and fbay. Just as good for your purpose though. Forty years of progress. 1972-2012
