I have a new 2021 L405 with about 1K miles. The front camera was intermittingly working from the beginning and now is completely blank. The dealer replaced the camera which didn't fix the issue. They now say it is a short in the Engine Wiring Harness which has to be specially hand made in the UK for my car and could take weeks to come. Has anyone had this happen to their car and did it fix the problem? Is there no QA process in the factory to determine these problems before selling?

That’s really disappointing, not least as it should surely have been picked up at PDI.

I’d ask what works are involved in replacing the wiring harness - if it’s a dash out job, I’d be really wary about keeping the car. The dashes never go back in as well as the factory (regardless of what anyone says).
