United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
Dodgy radio signal

Hi all,

This weekend I swapped my badly corroded upper tailgate on my 2004 RR for a perfect replacement purchased from eBay.

On advice, I chose to cut and solder the vehicle loom to the ample tailgate loom that the dismantlers had left on the panel.

My RR is an autobiography and had speakers in the trim under the back screen, but the replacement didn't have these and there is no wiring in the loom for them, so I have isolated these wires and the plan is to install new cabling for them in the near future.

There was one other discrepancy between my old tailgate and the new one, the replacement had what looks like an aerial cable in the loom, but my existing wiring didn't have this, so I have taped it up out of the way.

Now however, my radio is crackling and losing signal occasionally. I can't see how it can be this aerial cable as the old loom didn't have it, but can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks
