I've fitted 2 sets now.
The fitting of the actual steps isn't difficult although the drivers side step is fiddly as the air receiver for the suspension is right in the way of getting a ratchet onto them so it's 1/4 a turn at a time with a spanner.
Fitting the wiring isn't difficult but it does take time. You need to remove the chrome tread plates and the plastic trim in front of them on both sides. You then remove the end panels off the dashboard on both sides, remove the wooden trim on both sides, remove the A pillar covers on both sides and the centre console above your head to mount the sunroof switch.
Fitting the wiring isn't difficult either but just takes a bit of time to finesse it to where it needs to be. It's easily done in an afternoon.
Do you have a set of steps? I have a complete set with wiring loom, sunroof switch and ECU along with all the fixings that I keep meaning to sell. The wiring loom is for a 2007 - 2009 car but the looms aren't that expensive and are still available from Land Rover. It's just the steps, brackets and motors that aren't.
